- Rotation through various IT departments, such as system integration or e-commerce
- Gaining an understanding of all the company’s IT processes during exciting practical placements
- Dealing with technical issues as well as business-related tasks
Business Informatics – Course structure
A dual study programme with the FRICKE Group offers interesting insights into day-to-day working life and comprehensive business processes. Our dual students always commence their training on 1 August each year.
With us, you have the opportunity to tailor your dual study programme to your individual needs: by freely choosing a specialisation, you can focus on a specific area and deepen your knowledge in line with your interests.
You can choose from the following specialisms:
- Innovation Management
- Data Analytics & AI
Alternatively, you can study Business Informatics without a specialisation and therefore opt for Business Process Management.
After a course duration of 3.5 years, you will be awarded a Bachelor of Science degree. During their studies, our students gain experience in various departments and specialist areas and usually even spend a semester abroad.
What to expect
A dual study programme with a company in the FRICKE Group opens up many prospects and opportunities for you. As a dual student in the Business Informatics department at FRICKE, you will gain an insight into all the processes of a wholesale company. You’ll take on IT-related tasks, get a taste of marketing and work on exciting projects.
Your training takes place alternately at a company within the FRICKE Group and at the Nordakademie Elmshorn. In total, the training programme as part of a dual study programme with the FRICKE Group lasts 3.5 years.
- Duration of study: 7 semesters
- Study locations: FRICKE Group and university / university of applied sciences
- Course content: Compulsory business administration modules as part of your studies at the university / university of applied sciences, practical placements at the FRICKE Group focusing on the use of IT processes, commercial activities and the implementation of marketing measures. Part of the programme takes place abroad.
- Qualification: Bachelor of Science
What you should bring to the role
The FRICKE Group offers its dual-study students in-depth and interesting insights into day-to-day working life and also into comprehensive business processes.
A prerequisite for a dual study programme at a company within the FRICKE Group is a good A-level or vocational A-level qualification. As a Business Informatics student in particular, you should naturally have an interest in and enjoy in IT-related topics and a structured approach to work. Challenging tasks and projects await our dual-study students. These require a high degree of commitment, a willingness to perform and the ability to take the initiative.
