There are two specialisations within the IT Specialist (m/f/d) apprenticeship. At the FRICKE Group, we provide training in both specialisations. This ensures that you are placed in your chosen IT specialism and can become a specialist. The specialisations for the IT specialist programme are as follows:

- Application development

- Entry requirements: A-levels, vocational A-levels or a good secondary school leaving certificate

- Working with and maintaining IT systems and networks
- Practical application of programming logic and techniques
- Insights into business processes and IT support
- Project collaboration and development
- What to expect – Application development:
- Helping to design in-house software solutions
- Practical use of relevant programming languages
- Testing and customising applications
- Designing process and web projects
- Integrating content management systems
IT Specialist (m/f/d) – Training programme
The IT Specialist (m/f/d) apprenticeship lasts three years. As part of their training, our apprentices gain experience in many different departments and business areas within the FRICKE Group.
The apprenticeship consists of classroom-based and practical modules. During their training, our apprentices learn everything there is to know about IT, tailored to their specific specialism. In addition to the fundamentals of working as an IT specialist (m/f/d), a great deal of practical specialist knowledge is also imparted. Even at this early stage, our apprentices are given exciting tasks and projects in the field of IT and advise and support the individual specialist departments.
IT specialists (m/f/d) specialising in system integration work primarily with hardware and software. With this specialisation, you’ll ensure that the IT systems run smoothly. Should any problems arise, our apprentices actively work to resolve them and are therefore an integral part of the IT team at the FRICKE Group.
As an IT specialist (m/f/d) specialising in application development, you will focus on programming digital solutions. Our trainees are involved in the implementation of software projects. The software must be tested and user interfaces developed.

What you should bring to the role
The FRICKE Group offers its apprentices in-depth and interesting insights into day-to-day working life and comprehensive work processes.
The entry requirements for a training programme as an IT specialist (m/f/d) are the Abitur or Fachabitur, or a good Realschulabschluss. You should, of course, have a general interest in working with computers and understanding how they work. Our apprentices can look forward to interesting tasks and projects. Organisational skills, team spirit and a technical understanding are certainly an advantage.

Career prospects after your apprenticeship
Following an interesting apprenticeship as an IT specialist (m/f/d), a range of career opportunities will open up – including, of course, within the FRICKE Group. For us, apprentices are an investment in future staff, training supervisors and managers. That’s why we’re happy to support individual and meaningful further training initiatives later on – our motto here, too, is ‘challenge through support’.
IT specialists are employed in many interesting roles and specialised areas within companies. With the specialisation in system integration, the field of IT system management will be of particular interest to you. The specialisation Application Development, for example, will introduce you to e-commerce development. The further training opportunities are also particularly varied. How about, for example, further training (tailored to your chosen specialisation) to become a software developer (m/f/d) or an IT systems administrator (m/f/d)? Of course, there are also opportunities to deepen and consolidate your own qualifications through further study, e.g. in Business Informatics or to become a state-certified Business Economist / Business Specialist (m/f/d).
