Metalworker (m/f/d) – Training programme
The apprenticeship as a metalworker (m/f/d) lasts three and a half years. As part of the programme, apprentices in this specialism at the FRICKE Group specialise in construction technology.
Did you know? The profession of metalworker is one of the oldest trades. The ‘Guild of Small Smiths’ was founded as early as the 14th century.
The apprenticeship consists of classroom-based and practical modules. During their apprenticeship, our apprentices learn everything there is to know about metalworking. As well as the basics of working with metal, they are also taught how to assemble and inspect hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic components. Furthermore, steel and metal structures are manufactured, assembled and maintained. So you’ll actually be involved in the entire manufacturing process – from planning through to fabrication and production.

What you should bring to the role

The entry requirements for an apprenticeship as a metalworker / construction technician (m/f/d) are a secondary school leaving certificate or a good lower secondary school leaving certificate. You should, of course, have an interest in working with metal. Our apprentices can look forward to interesting tasks and projects. A basic understanding of technology and practical skills are certainly an advantage.

Career prospects after the apprenticeship

A degree in engineering or business administration (m/f/d) would also be a possible way to deepen your knowledge and gain additional qualifications.
