Working abroad – go abroad with FRICKE!

For FRICKE, a commitment to its staff means giving them the opportunity to develop further throughout their careers. One example of this is placements abroad, which offer both apprentices and staff the chance to broaden their horizons, both professionally and personally.

Apprentices & students – an exciting chance to look beyond the horizon

FRICKE offers apprentices – on a voluntary basis – the opportunity to spend two to three weeks at a site abroad during their second year of training and to work as part of the local team. Many of FRICKE’s apprentices take up this offer to further their professional and personal development.

For our dual-study students, a period abroad is an integral part of their course. As a rule, they spend several months abroad after their fifth theoretical semester. Students have the opportunity to undertake a semester abroad through their university and to work for two to three months at a FRICKE Group site abroad.

Maike chose the land of unlimited opportunities and spent the practical phase of her business studies degree at the fledgling GRANIT PARTS site in Roan, Indiana, in the USA: Work placement in the Midwest

For apprentices in the agricultural machinery sector, the third and fourth years of their apprenticeship include an exciting, multi-day excursion to Le Mans in France, where the third- and fourth-year apprentices visit the CLAAS tractor factory together.

Experienced professionals – Your next career step abroad

As an international group of companies, FRICKE also offers employees attractive opportunities to apply and expand their expertise at a site abroad. Several FRICKE team members have already taken this career step and have developed significantly in professional, linguistic and personal terms as a result.

The country in which such an assignment takes place depends on current requirements and personal interests.

Whilst still on his dual study programme, Aaron spent three months at the FRICKE purchasing office in Shanghai. He wrote his bachelor’s thesis at what was then the new site in England and subsequently stayed there for two years to help set up the new warehouse: A career at Fricke – Aaron Dahm and the development of the procurement department

As part of the exportteam in Heeslingen, Aileen looks after GRANIT PARTS’ subsidiaries in Belgium and France. This summer, in 2024, she took the opportunity to work at the Reims branch for three months and get to know the country and its people even better: GRANIT France – Life in Champagne

Mathias began his career as a work-study student in industrial engineering at FRICKE and is now Head of the Agricultural Technology Division at GRANIT PARTS.
