Agricultural Management – Course structure
A dual study programme with the FRICKE Group offers comprehensive and interesting insights into day-to-day work and business processes. Our dual students always commence their training on 1 August each year.
After a course duration of three years, students are awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree. During their studies, our students rotate through various departments and specialist areas, and they usually even spend at least one semester abroad.

In recent years, the agricultural sector has developed into one of the largest economic sectors. A dual study programme in this field is therefore an ideal starting point for launching a career in this thriving sector.

What to expect
A dual study programme with a company in the FRICKE Group opens up many prospects and opportunities for you. As a dual student at FRICKE in the Agricultural Management department, you’ll gain an understanding of all the processes involved in a wholesale business – from sales to marketing. However, you will not only take on commercial tasks, but also gain an in-depth understanding of business processes relating to modern agriculture – from controlling to quality management.
Practical modules and theoretical lessons take place alternately at a company within the FRICKE Group and at the University of Cooperative Education in Dresden. In total, this degree programme lasts three years.
- Duration of study: 6 semesters
- Study locations: FRICKE Group and university / University of Applied Sciences
- Course content: Compulsory modules in business administration and agriculture as part of the programme at the University of Dresden, practical placements with the FRICKE Group to learn business processes and methodological skills for agricultural business, as well as commercial activities, such as working in sales – from preparing quotations and processing customer orders to advising and supporting customers. Part of the programme takes place abroad.

What you should bring to the role
The FRICKE Group offers dual-study students in-depth and interesting insights into day-to-day working life and also into comprehensive work processes.
A prerequisite for a dual-study programme at a company within the FRICKE Group is a good A-level or vocational A-level. You should, of course, have an interest in commercial work, business management and agricultural topics. Challenging tasks and projects await our dual study students. These require a high degree of commitment, motivation and initiative.
