Here's what you can expect
- Leadership & Team Development: Leading, developing and motivating the 20-strong master data team, as well as facilitating team meetings, training sessions and the onboarding of new staff
- Feedback & Development Reviews: Conducting feedback and development reviews, as well as performance appraisals, to specifically promote team accountability, quality and continuous improvement
- Shaping process & quality control: Further developing standards, processes and guidelines for master data maintenance and making them more efficient in the long term through automation
- Taking on operational responsibility: Ensuring the timely and high-quality maintenance of material master data, including escalation and quality management
- Managing MDM activities: Managing, monitoring and optimising day-to-day activities in material master data management
- Actively shaping interfaces: Close coordination with specialist departments such as Procurement, Logistics, IT and Sales to ensure data requirements and quality are met
What you need to bring
- Education & Qualifications: A successfully completed degree in Business Administration, Economics, Logistics or a comparable business-related degree programme; alternatively, a completed commercial apprenticeship, e.g. as an Industrial Clerk (m/f/d), Wholesale and Foreign Trade Management Assistant (m/f/d)
- Professional experience & specialist knowledge: Several years’ professional experience in master data management (MDM), ideally with a focus on material or product master data, as well as initial management experience; a sound understanding of master data processes, data quality and SAP environments (ideally SAP S/4HANA) or comparable ERP systems; experience in using digital tools for process, workflow and requirements management, in particular Atlassian Jira
- IT & language skills: Very good command of German (at least C1) and good command of English; confident use of ERP systems and MS Office (Excel)
- Personal skills: A strong business mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for developing staff and shaping change processes
